react Centre @ Mama Cole's Announces Performance Space Available for Spring/Summer 2011

react Centre @ Mama Coles is now accepting reservations for its performance/meeting space, opening
May 2011 at 1918 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave S.E. in Anacostia.  Dates for the Spring/Summer 2011 calendar are available for public and private occasions featuring:
  • performing artists (including music acts, DJs, spoken word artists, comedians, etc.)
  • non-profit organizations
  • political activists
  • journalists/news events
  • event planners
  • social clubs
  • film & video screenings
  • recording labels
  • small business & entrepreneur networks
  • birthdays
and more may be saved through September 30, 2011 with a $200 deposit -- with no hidden charges.  (Production costs for react Radio Network broadcasts and/or recordings produced in partnership with the promoter/event planner are extra.)

Reservations will be held on a first-come, first-served basis.  Any admissions, cover charges, etc., shall be at the discretion of the promoter/event planner.  All revenues from cover charges, ticket sales, and/or admissions for react Centre events shall be retained by the promoter/event planner, unless negotiated otherwise.  The react Centre @ Mama Cole's features a cash bar, however food and beverage catering services are available and promoters/event planners may provide their own food and beverages at an additional fee.  Event security is at the discretion and responsibility of the promoter/event planner.

Call For Radio Hosts; 2nd react Radio 1480 AM Programmer's Meetup

react Radio WPWC 1480 AM will be accepting reservations for its 2011-12 programming schedule at our 2nd programmer's meetup, 6 p.m., Sunday March 20, 2011, at 760 N St NW, Washington, D.C.  Over 360 'prime-time' (daytime) hours per month are available for music- and public affairs-themed programming featuring content produced in the Washington, D.C. region.

Reservations for pre-recorded, 'live', or syndicated productions featuring local content from:
     •performing artists (including DJs, spoken word artists, and comedians)
     •educators & schools
     •political activists
     •non-profit organizations
     •journalists
     •webcasters
     •recording labels
     •event promoters
     •small businesses & entrepreneurs

representing progressive politics and related music genres -- including Jazz, Neo-soul, House, Blues, Alternative Hip-Hop & Rock -- will be accepted.  

Time slots will be awarded on a first-come basis, with a priority given to shows featuring locally produced music- and/or public affairs content.. Programmers will be required to participate in the network's membership campaigns, but also permitted the option to use their time slots for fundraising on behalf of charitable causes, or for commercial purposes, earning income from securing 3rd party sponsorships and/or promotional agreements. Financing is available.  A deposit equal to the amount of your 1st month's programming is due with your reservation.
